JOB DESCRIPTION
The Egg Packer is responsible for supporting daily egg packing and food production operations. The successful candidate will assist with packing, sorting, checking, arranging, and preparing eggs and finished products for storage or distribution.
The role involves repetitive packing and production activities and requires employees to maintain good hygiene, follow food handling procedures, and ensure that products are handled carefully throughout the packing process.
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Pack eggs into trays, cartons, boxes, or other designated packaging according to company procedures.
Handle eggs carefully to prevent unnecessary breakage, damage, or product wastage during the packing process.
Inspect eggs before packing and identify cracked, broken, dirty, damaged, or unsuitable products.
Perform basic quality checks to ensure eggs meet the required company standards.
Sort eggs according to size, grade, quality, or other production requirements.
Arrange eggs properly inside packaging materials to ensure products are securely packed.
Check packaging materials before use and report damaged or unsuitable packaging to the supervisor.
Label packed products accurately when required.
Organize finished products according to company storage and distribution procedures.
Prepare packed products for transfer to storage areas, delivery areas, or other designated locations.
Assist with palletizing cartons and finished products.
Stack packed products safely and neatly according to workplace procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the workstation throughout the working day.
Clean and organize the assigned working area after completing production tasks.
Follow food safety and hygiene requirements when handling products.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Use production and packing equipment properly after receiving appropriate instructions and training.
Report damaged products, equipment issues, safety concerns, or other problems to the supervisor.
Follow instructions from supervisors and production team leaders.
Assist other workers with general production and packing duties when required.
Complete assigned tasks within the required production schedule.
Maintain good cooperation and communication with other members of the production team.
QUALITY CONTROL RESPONSIBILITIES
Employees will be expected to pay attention to product quality throughout the packing process.
Eggs must be checked for visible cracks, breakage, dirt, damage, or other quality issues before being packed.
Any products that do not meet the required standards should be separated according to company procedures.
Employees must report repeated quality problems or unusual product conditions to the supervisor.
Proper handling is important to reduce product damage and maintain the quality of finished products.
FOOD HYGIENE REQUIREMENTS
Because the position involves food products, employees are required to maintain appropriate personal hygiene and cleanliness.
Employees must follow company food safety procedures.
The assigned workstation should be kept clean and organized.
Employees should follow instructions regarding protective clothing, hand hygiene, workplace cleanliness, and safe product handling.
Any contamination, damaged products, spills, or hygiene concerns should be reported to the appropriate supervisor.
PALLETIZING AND STORAGE DUTIES
Employees may also be required to assist with palletizing and organizing packed products.
Duties may include arranging cartons on pallets, ensuring products are stacked safely, checking labels, organizing finished products, and preparing products for storage or transportation.
Employees must follow company instructions when moving, stacking, or arranging finished products.
