Job Overview

A leading hotel in Singapore is currently hiring dedicated, enthusiastic, and service-oriented individuals to join the hospitality team as a Full-Time Hotel Bellman (Hotel Porter).

Salary

Successful candidates can earn up to SGD 2,680 nett per month, which is approximately SGD 110 per working day, depending on work schedule and attendance.

 

Employees may also receive overtime pay, service incentives, performance bonuses, and other company benefits based on individual performance and hotel policies.

 

Working Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring employees to work 6 days per week with 1 scheduled rest day. Working hours will follow a rotating shift schedule based on hotel operational requirements.

 

Meal breaks and rest periods are provided according to Singapore Employment Act regulations.

 

Employees must be willing to work weekends, public holidays, morning, afternoon, evening, and night shifts whenever assigned.

Key Job Responsibilities

As a Hotel Bellman, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service from the moment guests arrive until their departure.

 

Daily responsibilities include welcoming guests warmly, greeting them professionally, and creating a positive first impression of the hotel.

 

You will assist guests with loading, unloading, carrying, and transporting luggage safely to and from their rooms.

 

You will escort guests to their assigned rooms while explaining hotel facilities, room features, hotel policies, and available guest services.

 

You will provide useful information regarding restaurants, shopping centres, tourist attractions, transportation options, airport transfers, and local points of interest.

 

The role also requires supporting the Front Office team by delivering guest requests, parcels, messages, amenities, and other items to guest rooms promptly.

 

You will assist with luggage storage, baggage retrieval, and maintaining organized luggage areas.

 

Additionally, you will help coordinate transportation services, including arranging taxis, airport transfers, and private transportation upon guest request.

 

Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and professionalism within the hotel lobby, entrance, and baggage storage areas is an important part of the role.

 

Hotel Bellmen are expected to respond quickly to guest inquiries, resolve minor concerns courteously, and communicate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure excellent guest satisfaction.

 

You must consistently uphold the hotel’s service standards while demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, honesty, and attention to detail.

 

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and a willingness to learn.

 

Candidates must be physically fit and capable of lifting and transporting guest luggage safely throughout the hotel premises.

 

Applicants should have good spoken English to communicate effectively with international guests.

Additional language skills will be considered an advantage but are not mandatory.

 

Candidates should be well-groomed, polite, reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

 

Applicants must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and public holidays based on operational requirements.

 

The ability to remain calm under pressure and provide exceptional guest service at all times is essential.

 

No previous hotel experience is required. Fresh graduates and first-time job seekers are encouraged to apply, as full professional training will be provided before commencement of duties.
