Our client, a global semiconductor company, is currently seeking a Digital Design Engineer to join its engineering and R&D team in Singapore.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in digital design, RTL development, hardware design, and semiconductor R&D to work in a professional high-technology environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Digital Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting digital hardware design, RTL development, IP development, verification, and system architecture activities.
Your key responsibilities may include:
Digital Design & RTL Development
Manage and handle digital IP and RTL design activities.
Develop and maintain RTL designs based on project requirements and specifications.
Perform RTL coding using VHDL and/or Verilog.
Participate in digital architecture definition and development.
Translate system and design requirements into detailed implementation specifications.
Support the development and implementation of digital hardware solutions.
Review and improve existing RTL designs where required.
IP & System Architecture
Support IP architecture and system architecture definition.
Work closely with engineering teams to define suitable digital design solutions.
Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
Ensure designs comply with project specifications and technical requirements.
Prepare and maintain design documentation throughout the development cycle.
Verification & Functional Coverage
Support functional verification activities for digital designs.
Work closely with verification engineers to identify and resolve design issues.
Assist in ensuring functional requirements are fully covered.
Support debugging of RTL and design-related issues.
Participate in design reviews, verification reviews, and technical discussions.
Help ensure the final design meets quality and performance requirements.
Design Quality & Methodologies
You may also be involved in various digital design quality and implementation activities, including:
RTL linting
Domain crossing checks
Design for Test (DFT)
Design for emulation
Design implementation checks
Design validation and debugging
Technical documentation
Design review and issue resolution
Scripting & Automation
Develop or use scripts to support engineering and design activities.
Utilize scripting languages such as Python, Perl, and TCL.
Support automation of design, verification, testing, and engineering workflows.
Improve engineering efficiency through scripting and automation where applicable.
Communication Interfaces / IP
Experience with communication IP and interfaces will be relevant to this position, including:
I2C
I3C
SPI
GPIO
UART
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
Minimum 1–3 years of relevant working experience.
Experience in a semiconductor, electronics, hardware, or high-technology R&D environment is preferred.
Hands-on experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.
Good understanding of digital design principles and RTL development.
Experience with digital design techniques and methodologies.
Knowledge of architecture definition and design implementation.
Understanding of RTL coding and design verification processes.
Familiarity with lint and domain-crossing concepts.
Knowledge of Design for Test (DFT) and/or design for emulation is an advantage.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL.
Familiarity with communication interfaces such as I2C, I3C, SPI, GPIO, and UART.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Willing to work in a fast-paced technology and R&D environment.
