About the Position

As a Cleaner, you will play an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of classrooms, lecture halls, offices, libraries, laboratories, washrooms, and other university facilities.

Job Responsibilities

 

Clean classrooms, lecture theatres, tutorial rooms, seminar rooms, libraries, offices, laboratories (non-hazardous areas), staff rooms, meeting rooms, and all public facilities.

 

Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and polish all types of flooring to maintain a clean and presentable environment.

 

Dust and wipe desks, tables, chairs, cabinets, shelves, windows, doors, glass panels, and office furniture.

 

Clean and sanitize washrooms, toilets, sinks, mirrors, handrails, and other high-touch surfaces regularly.

 

Refill restroom supplies including toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, tissue, and sanitizers.

Collect, separate, and dispose of rubbish according to workplace waste management procedures.

 

Empty trash bins and replace waste bags throughout the campus.

 

Maintain cleanliness of corridors, staircases, elevators, entrances, walkways, cafeterias, lounges, and common areas.

 

Clean outdoor areas surrounding university buildings when assigned.

 

Ensure classrooms and university facilities are clean and ready before lectures, meetings, and daily operations begin.

 

Support cleaning operations during university events, examinations, graduation ceremonies, seminars, conferences, and special functions.

 

Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, polishing machines, and other cleaning tools safely.

 

Use cleaning chemicals according to workplace safety procedures.

 

Inspect assigned work areas and report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety hazards to supervisors.

 

Follow all company policies, hygiene regulations, workplace safety standards, and operational procedures at all times.

 

Complete additional cleaning duties assigned by supervisors whenever required.
