JOB SUMMARY

We are hiring Airport Operations Assistants to support daily ground operations at Changi Airport, Singapore.

 

The Airport Operations Assistant will be responsible for collecting, arranging, moving, and returning airport luggage trolleys to designated areas.

 

The role requires candidates to work efficiently around airport terminals, car parks, passenger areas, and other assigned operational locations.

 

This is a permanent night-shift position suitable for candidates who are comfortable working during nighttime hours and in a busy airport environment. No previous airport experience is required, as training will be provided.

 

 

Candidates should be physically fit, responsible, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work independently as well as with a team.

 

 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Collect airport luggage trolleys from passenger terminals, car parks, arrival and departure areas, and surrounding locations.

 

 

Return and position luggage trolleys at designated trolley collection points.

Ensure sufficient luggage trolleys are available for passengers throughout assigned areas.

Regularly monitor trolley availability and respond to operational requirements.

 

 

Push, pull, move, and organize luggage trolleys safely according to workplace procedures.

Keep trolley areas organized and accessible for passengers.

Inspect trolleys for visible damage, defects, or safety concerns.

 

 

Report damaged, defective, or unsafe trolleys to the supervisor immediately.

Remove damaged or unsafe trolleys from passenger-use areas when instructed.

Maintain cleanliness and general order within assigned operational areas.

 

 

Ensure work areas are kept safe and free from unnecessary obstructions.

Follow all airport operational procedures and workplace safety requirements.

 

 

Follow instructions from supervisors and operational team leaders.

Coordinate with other team members to complete assigned daily duties.

Assist with the redistribution of trolleys during busy periods.

 

 

Respond to operational requests in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain proper work discipline and attendance.

Use assigned equipment and personal protective equipment properly.

 

 

Take reasonable care of company property and operational equipment.

Report unusual incidents, hazards, or operational issues to the supervisor.

Complete other airport-related operational duties assigned by the supervisor.

 

 

DAILY WORK ACTIVITIES

Depending on operational requirements, duties may include:

Checking assigned trolley collection areas.

Gathering unused trolleys from terminals and surrounding areas.

 

 

Transporting trolleys safely to designated collection points.

Organizing trolley rows and ensuring easy passenger access.

 

 

Checking the general condition of trolleys.

Separating damaged or faulty trolleys from serviceable units.

Supporting trolley availability during peak passenger periods.

 

 

Maintaining cleanliness around assigned work areas.

Communicating operational issues to supervisors.

Completing assigned tasks according to the daily work schedule.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

No previous airport experience is required.

Training will be provided to successful candidates.

 

 

Physically fit and able to perform manual work.

Able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Able to push and pull luggage trolleys safely.

Comfortable working outdoors and in different airport areas.

 

 

Able to work permanent night shifts.

Willing to work weekends and public holidays when scheduled.

Responsible, punctual, and reliable.

Good attendance and work discipline.

 

 

Able to follow instructions from supervisors.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Able to work effectively as part of a team.

Basic English communication skills are preferred.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Rest Days: 2 rotating off days

The successful candidate must be prepared to work according to airport operational requirements. Working schedules may include weekends and public holidays.

TRAINING

Training will be provided to successful candidates to help them understand airport operational procedures, workplace safety requirements, trolley handling procedures, assigned work areas, and daily operational responsibilities.

 

 

Candidates are expected to follow all training instructions and company procedures before performing assigned duties independently.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is based at Changi Airport and involves working in a busy airport operational environment.

 

 

The role may require employees to work across different areas including passenger terminals, car parks, trolley collection points, walkways, and other assigned airport facilities.

 

 

Employees should be prepared for regular walking, standing, pushing and pulling trolleys, and working in both indoor and outdoor areas.
