Job Description

 

As a Laundry Worker / Laundry Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring that all laundry items are cleaned, processed, inspected, folded, packed, and delivered according to the company’s quality standards. You will work with industrial laundry machines and follow operational procedures to ensure efficient daily production.

 

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

 

Receive dirty laundry from customers or internal departments.

Sort laundry according to fabric type, color, washing temperature, and cleaning requirements.

Separate delicate fabrics from regular laundry items.

 

Inspect garments and linens for stains, damages, missing items, or special cleaning instructions.

Apply stain-removal treatments when necessary.

Load laundry into industrial washing machines.

Operate commercial washing, drying, and extraction equipment.

Select the correct washing cycle according to company procedures.

Monitor machine operations during washing and drying processes.

 

Transfer laundry from washers to dryers.

Operate flatwork ironers, steam presses, and folding equipment.

Hand-fold towels, bed sheets, uniforms, garments, and other laundry items.

 

 

Press and iron garments according to quality standards.

Inspect finished laundry for cleanliness and quality.

Rewash items that do not meet company standards.

Pack clean laundry according to customer requirements.

 

Label, organize, and prepare laundry for delivery or collection.

Maintain cleanliness of laundry workstations.

Clean machines and work equipment after use.

Report damaged machines or maintenance issues to supervisors.

 

Handle laundry carts safely throughout the production area.

Follow workplace hygiene and sanitation procedures.

Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

 

Maintain production records when required.

Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality.

Assist supervisors with additional operational tasks when assigned.

 

Work efficiently with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

 

Minimum education is not mandatory.

Previous laundry experience is an advantage but not compulsory.

Fresh applicants are encouraged to apply.

Physically fit and able to perform manual work.

Able to stand for extended periods.

 

 

Able to lift and carry laundry bags, linen carts, and work materials.

Good physical stamina and endurance.

Able to work in a warm production environment.

Working Schedule

Working Days: 5 to 6 days per week depending on company operations.

Working Hours: Rotating shifts may be required based on operational needs.
