JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking dedicated, reliable, and hardworking Nursing Cleaners to join our professional housekeeping team in a healthcare environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, hygienic, and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, doctors, nurses, and all hospital staff.

The Nursing Cleaner is responsible for ensuring that all assigned hospital areas are cleaned and disinfected according to infection prevention and hospital cleanliness standards while maintaining a high level of professionalism and safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Clean and sanitize patient rooms, isolation rooms, wards, examination rooms, treatment rooms, operating support areas, offices, corridors, waiting areas, and other designated hospital facilities.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, polish, and disinfect all floor surfaces according to hospital cleaning procedures.

Dust and wipe furniture, cabinets, medical equipment exteriors, tables, windows, doors, walls, handrails, and other surfaces.

Clean and disinfect washrooms, toilets, sinks, mirrors, showers, and restroom facilities regularly.

Empty rubbish bins and dispose of general waste, recyclable waste, and clinical waste according to hospital waste management procedures.

Replenish housekeeping supplies including tissue paper, paper towels, soap dispensers, hand sanitizers, trash bags, gloves, and other consumables.

Change bed curtains and assist with basic housekeeping preparation when required.

Maintain cleanliness of nursing stations, pantry areas, staff lounges, elevators, staircases, and public spaces.

Follow infection control protocols and ensure all cleaning chemicals are used safely and correctly.

Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, polishing machines, and other housekeeping tools safely.

Report faulty equipment, maintenance issues, damaged furniture, water leaks, or any safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.

Ensure all cleaning equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored properly after use.

Follow all workplace safety regulations, health guidelines, and hospital standard operating procedures.

Complete assigned cleaning schedules and daily housekeeping checklists accurately.

Perform any additional housekeeping duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in hospitals, clinics, hotels, commercial buildings, or similar environments is an advantage.

Candidates without experience are welcome to apply as training will be provided.

Physically fit and capable of performing manual cleaning duties for extended periods.

Able to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and carry cleaning equipment throughout the workday.

Responsible, honest, hardworking, and self-motivated.

Good attendance record and punctuality.

Willing to work overtime when operationally required.

Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Able to work effectively as part of a team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and improve.

Able to follow company policies, cleaning procedures, and workplace safety regulations.

Strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
