Shift: Permanent Night Shift

Working Hours: 8:00 PM – 4:00 AM

Monthly Salary: SGD 1,900

About The Role

The Bus Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness for both the interior and exterior of buses before they return to daily service. This position requires attention to detail, physical fitness, and the ability to work efficiently within scheduled deadlines.

 

Successful candidates will receive proper training and guidance to perform all cleaning procedures according to company standards. Previous experience is not required, making this position suitable for first-time job seekers as well as experienced cleaners.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

Clean and sanitize the interior of buses thoroughly.

Wash and maintain the exterior appearance of buses.

 

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect passenger areas.

Clean passenger seats, floors, ceilings, windows, mirrors, and handrails.

Clean the driver’s cabin and dashboard area.

Remove stains, dust, dirt, mud, grease, and debris.

 

Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste properly.

Replace rubbish bags and maintain waste collection areas.

Clean entrance doors, exit doors, steps, and wheelchair access areas.

Wash bus wheels and surrounding exterior components when required.

 

Refill cleaning materials and supplies.

Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition.

Ensure buses meet company cleanliness standards before deployment.

 

Conduct visual inspections after cleaning.

Report damages, missing equipment, broken fixtures, or maintenance issues immediately.

Follow all workplace safety procedures and company regulations.

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing duties.

 

Maintain a clean and organized cleaning area.

Assist supervisors with additional operational cleaning tasks when assigned.

Support team members during peak operational periods.

Complete assigned work within scheduled timeframes.

 

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

No previous experience is required.

On-the-job training will be provided.

Physically fit and capable of performing manual work.

 

Able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the work shift.

Comfortable working in a night shift environment.

Willing to work weekends and public holidays when required.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

 

Good teamwork and communication skills.

Responsible, honest, and trustworthy.

Punctual with a strong work ethic.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Able to follow company procedures and safety guidelines.

Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following qualities will have an advantage:

Previous experience in industrial cleaning, commercial cleaning, housekeeping, vehicle washing, or maintenance services.

Experience working in transportation or logistics environments.

 

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices.

However, applicants without experience are strongly encouraged to apply as comprehensive training will be provided.
